What to look for in a free birth chart calculator

- Planetary positions and chart angles are calculated by the AstroMaster engine with Swiss Ephemeris data rather than estimated from Sun-sign date ranges.

- The calculation uses the selected birthplace coordinates and the historical IANA time-zone rule for the birth date, including daylight-saving changes.
- Default chart settings
- The free chart uses the tropical zodiac, the modern chart variant, and Placidus houses. Different settings can produce legitimate differences between tools.

How AstroMaster calculates this chart
Your local birth time is converted to the corresponding universal instant using the selected location and its historical time-zone rules. The engine then calculates planetary longitudes, the Ascendant, Midheaven, house cusps and aspects. Interpretation is kept separate from the deterministic calculation.
Accuracy still depends on the birth record. If the time is approximate or unknown, treat the Rising sign, angles and houses as uncertain.

Can I calculate a chart without an exact birth time?
You can, but your Rising sign, houses and angles may be well off. If you only know a rough time of day, treat the result as a low-confidence reference.
Will the free calculator save my birth data?
No. Anonymous calculations aren't stored. Your details become a profile only if you sign in and choose to save them.
Is a birth chart a complete prediction of my life?
No. A natal chart is a symbolic framework for reflection and discussion, not a fixed destiny or a substitute for practical decisions.
Which zodiac and house system does the free chart use?
It uses the tropical zodiac with the modern chart variant and Placidus houses. Other tools may use Whole Sign houses, a sidereal zodiac, or different aspect orbs, so some labels can differ without either calculation being broken.
Why does my chart differ from another calculator?
Check the exact birth time, selected city, historical time zone, zodiac, house system, node setting, and aspect orbs. A daylight-saving or location mismatch can change the Ascendant and houses, while different house or orb settings can change labels without moving planetary longitude.
